Whether you are planning a Celebration of Life ceremony on your own and would like some advice, or you need help with every detail, Funerea can provide the support to help you honor your loved one in the very best way possible. Following are links to some potential offerings. Please know that while these are some of our ideas, we are happy to create services with you from scratch.
“‘Tis the gift to be simple, tis the gift to be free”
Your needs for this ceremony are simple, perhaps a backyard potluck with flowers from the garden, or a room at local restaurant. We will meet personally with you to help create the ceremony you are looking for. Together we will choose the services (catering, venue, flowers, bartender) within your budget. Funerea will then establish contact with the providers of those services, and set up the dates and times. You will personally contract with the service providers after they are identified. Funerea staff will not be present at your ceremony.
During one or two personal consultations, you and Mary will talk about your hopes for this ceremony, its design, and how to bring it to fruition. Is there a favorite restaurant, state park, or hillside? Is there a particular food that evokes memories or brings comfort? After choosing the services that can make it all happen (caterer, venue, music, florist), Mary will contract on your behalf with those service providers. She will be present in the background at the ceremony taking care of needs as they arise so you can be with your friends and family.
Those we love leave an indelible mark on our hearts. During two or more personal consultations, we will design a personalized ceremony that honors your loved one for the unique individual they were. We will explore how this ceremony can best illustrate and celebrate their triumphs and challenges. Maybe we’ll locate a pond where you can float candlelit luminaries, launch a viking ship urn, or create a celebration around a favorite service project. After you choose the particular services needed Mary will contract with the providers. Should you wish, Mary will officiate the ceremony ensuring that you can be fully present with your family and friends.
An Unfettered Farewell
This ceremony is above and beyond; you may picture a bluegrass band, an Irish wake, a full orchestra, dinner and dancing, gifts of remembrance for the attendees, a flaming viking ship on a pond. Your imagination and desire to capture your loved one’s unique way of being guide you. Funerea will take care of all the details, contracting on your behalf with the various vendors to make this happen, being present at the event to attend needs as they arise, and officiating should you desire.
A Corporate Goodbye
We spend much of our lives at our jobs and the death of a colleague can rock our foundations. Has a beloved member of your organization passed away? Would you like to remember them and how they enriched your company? We’ll work with you to create a celebration to acknowledge all they brought to your team and the inevitable pain of their loss.
